Through the use of distinctive fabrics and patterns based upon mosaics and architecture from the Byzantine era, we are reviving historic art through design. We are one of the first companies to focus on the practicality aspects of the interior design of our bags, wallets and leather desk accessories. Each piece has dedicated compartments specifically designed for the items the cosmopolitan man requires everyday. THE ESSENCE all interior fabric prints used in the design of Mark / Giusti men's bags and accessories have been derived from floor mosaics and intricate wall patterns borrowed from the architectural masterpieces of the Byzantine era. In the 4th-11th century A.D., laying out marble of different sizes, shapes and colors in order to create form and depth, created these geometric patterns. This Byzantine method was further developed in Italy from 11th century onwards by using additional materials to create more complex design patterns. This was referred to as 'cosmati", named after a family of roman architects, sculptors and mosaic workers who enjoyed prominence well into the 13th century. Now, this ancient art has been revived and is the inspiration behind the mark/giusti brand. It has been incorporated into the design of every mark/giusti product resulting in a fashion masterpiece of timeless elegance, quality and sophisticatn. The Man The mark/giusti man loves living life to the maximum. He is independent, confident and successful. He is spontaneous, romantic and a bit of a dreamer but certainly knows how to make those dreams come true. The Mark/Giusti man is also cosmopolitan, open-minded, and has a deep appreciation for art and culture. He feels equally confident in a smart business suit or in jeans and a t-shirt. He has his own identity and is always on the hunt for something unique to fulfill his passion for great style and superb design. The Designer mark farhat is the design director behind the mark / giusti brand of men's accessories. he was born in Lebanon yet, spent much of his childhood growing up in Africa. ' as the son of a diplomat I was exposed to different cultures and found appreciation for history and art and this remarkable experience informs my vision' Mark studied at the American university of Beirut in Lebanon, graduating with a BA in Business Administration. His passion for fashion led him to London where he acquired an MA in Marketing Management with a focus on luxury brands from the University of Westminster. After graduation, Mark was employed by Capelli NY, a manufacturer of fashion accessories, based in New York, where he became responsible for men's accessories in the UK. He further pursued his enthusiasm for fashion accessories in Milan, where he attended Instituto Di Moda, Burgo. During this time, Mark also worked for some of the hottest fashion shows during Milan fashion week for s/s 2010, such as 'Costume National'. Now, mark is designing and producing his own line of exquisite and sophisticated men's bags and leather accessories. 'This is just the beginning," he says, as he continues drawing and refining designs from his studio in Chelsea.
